Basketball Game Preview: Whiteville Wolfpack vs. East Bladen Eagles

Whiteville is 1-9 against East Bladen since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wolfpack will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Whiteville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 53-25 win over West Columbus. The Wolfpack not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 3rd (when they won 62-19).

Meanwhile, East Bladen was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past South Columbus 54-9. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 42 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for East Bladen and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 25 points in those games. As for Whiteville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Whiteville was taken down by East Bladen 72-33 in their previous meeting back in February. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolfpack were down 38-12.
