            Softball Preview: Baldwin Highlanders vs. North Hills Indians        
        
		
        
        
            The Baldwin Highlanders will head out to  square off against the North Hills Indians  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Baldwin will be strutting in after a  win while North Hills will be coming in after a  defeat.
Baldwin proved they can win big  on Friday (they won by seven) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past West Mifflin  4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Highlanders have posted  since April 23, 2024.
 Camryn Temme was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits. Temme was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jordan Gerendash, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  doubles (two).
 North Hills kicked off their season on the road  on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell  5-2 to Seneca Valley.
 Baldwin took their  win against North Hills  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2015 by a conclusive  11-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baldwin since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
