Softball Game Preview: Rochester Warriors vs. Hoquiam Grizzlies

The Rochester Warriors will square off against the Hoquiam Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rochester's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.

On Friday, Rochester got the win against Kalama by a conclusive 19-3. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 16 runs or more this season.

Charlie Culp was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those doubles were her first of the season. Mckenna Vassar was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Culp wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Rochester kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Hoquiam came up short against Lynden Christian on Friday, falling 12-1. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rochester now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hoquiam, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-1.
