Palmview is 9-1 against Juarez-Lincoln since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Palmview will take on Juarez-Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Juarez-Lincoln will be up against a hot Palmview team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Palmview put the hurt on Cigarroa with a sharp 11-1 win on Friday.
Abigail Cantu was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Juarez-Lincoln never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Martin last Friday. They blew past the Tigers 19-1. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Huskies this season.
Like Palmview, Juarez-Lincoln also got a great game from a two-way player: Natalie Gonzalez. She struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Gonzalez has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Valeria Gonzalez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. April Marroquin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Palmview's record is now 9-5. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their record is now 10-5.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Palmview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. However, it's not like Juarez-Lincoln struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Palmview took their victory against Juarez-Lincoln when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 11-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palmview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
