Baseball Recap: Woodmore Takes a Loss

Woodmore's last matchup with Hopewell-Loudon could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Chieftains, falling 11-3. The Wildcats have struggled against the Chieftains recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Robert Seeger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Perkins, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Woodmore's record is now 15-9. As for Hopewell-Loudon, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodmore will face off against Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hopewell-Loudon, they will take on Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
