Basketball Recap: Gilman Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elk Mound, Gilman was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the Glenwood City Hilltoppers with a 41-36 victory.

Glenwood City's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tori Ohman, who posted seven points along with eight boards and three steals. Ohman has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillie McGee, who had six points.

Gilman's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Glenwood City, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.

Looking ahead, Gilman will square off against Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Glenwood City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
