Basketball Recap: Dayton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Dayton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 68-59 victory over the Montgomery Bears. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 65-48 win the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Dayton's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Montgomery, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Dayton will take on Porter in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Montgomery, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kinkaid at 12:00 p.m. on the 29th.
