Soccer Recap: McDowell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

McDowell came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to the Watauga Pioneers. While losing is never fun, McDowell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Watauga are ranked 32nd).

McDowell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-3. As for Watauga, they pushed their record up to 9-3-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. McDowell will venture away from home to square off against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McDowell are facing Freedom at the right time seeing as Freedom are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Watauga, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Stephens at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
