Basketball Game Preview: Hughes Lions vs. Riverside Panthers

The Hughes Lions just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Riverside Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Hughes is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Mt. Pleasant just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 52-43 to the Tigers. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Riverside faced off against Camden Central on Friday. Riverside took a hard 66-49 fall against Camden Central. The Panthers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Hughes' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Hughes was able to grind out a solid win over Riverside in their previous meeting back in January, winning 53-46. Will Hughes repeat their success, or does Riverside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
