Big Sandy posted their closest victory since April 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the West Hardin Oilers. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Oilers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Zach McGallion made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. McGallion was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

McGallion wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Corbin Cude, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Cude got this season.

Big Sandy's win bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for West Hardin, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Big Sandy will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Hardin: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
