Lakeland was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in Lackawanna 2. Earlier in the week, the Chiefs triumphed over Hanover Area 45-25.
Mid Valley fell to Scranton Prep 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jayson Figueroa was the best receiver in the league this week as Western Wayne lost to James M. Coughlin. Figueroa tallied 3 receptions for 81 yards. Scott Walck helped Western Wayne's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 12 yards.
Daiqwon Buckley was a beast in the backfield as Dunmore defeated West Scranton.
Buckley was a passing and rushing force as the Bucks defeated the Invaders. Buckley's key target this week was Josh Zilla, who caught 2 passes for 32 yards.
Buckley was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 280 yards on 33 carries as Dunmore fell to the Crusaders. Josh Sawka also contributed to the rushing game with 27 yards on the ground.
Chet Anuszewski put up the best numbers through the air as Lakeland bested the Hawks. He had a total of 6 completions for 117 yards. Anuszewski's favorite target this week was Jeff Burton, who caught 4 passes for 88 yards.
Jeff Wasilchak's team's Anuszewski and Gavin O'Donnell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Lackawanna 2 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Anuszewski has thrown for 469 yards this season, while O'Donnell has 9 catches for 211 yards. Buckley from Jack Henzes' team leads the league in rushing with 737 yards.
The Chiefs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,483 from 6,666. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 45-25 victory over Hanover Area last week.
