Softball Game Preview: Oyster River Bobcats vs. Campbell

The Oyster River Bobcats will square off against Campbell on Saturday. Oyster River will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Oyster River is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Pelham a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won 14 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Campbell posted their closest win since April 20, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Sanborn Regional 6-5. Winning may never get old, but Campbell sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

The victory got Campbell back to even at 9-9. As for Oyster River, their win bumped their record up to 19-3-1.

Oyster River took their victory against Campbell in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a conclusive 14-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
