Volleyball Recap: The Vanguard School Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Vanguard School was the 3-0 winner over Pikes Peak Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Coursers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. While the Coursers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-20 in the first set.

The Vanguard School started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-22.

Despite the loss, The Vanguard School still got an impressive performance from Aili Haisley, who had 29 digs. Haisley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last 20 games she's played dating back to last season. Kayla Heidel also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for The Vanguard School and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Pikes Peak Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

The Vanguard School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Woodland Park on the 25th. Pikes Peak Christian has also already played their next contest (against Miami-Yoder), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
