Baseball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside extended their losing streak to 16 on Friday, dropping them down to 1-20. They lost 19-0 to the Oak Hall Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 back in February.

As for Oak Hall, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games.

For Oak Hall's part, Brayden Farmer was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Farmer has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Kingston Mosley also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Coming up, Eastside will challenge Branford at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Oak Hall, they will take on P.K. Yonge at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Wave have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
