Palm Beach Central hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Wellington Wolverines on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-38 back in December of 2025.

Izabelle Vilmont was the offensive standout of the contest as she almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Ma'Hailey Cambronne was another key player, putting up six points and three blocks.

Palm Beach Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.9 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.6.

Loss or not, Wellington got some senior leadership from Makaylah Wayde and Jamie Spear. Wayde posted 12 points and eight boards, while Spear scored 11 points and five assists. Wayde is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmin Jezewski, who had nine points.

Palm Beach Central's record is now 5-15. As for Wellington, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
