Basketball Recap: Magnolia's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Magnolia had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 49-45 W over the Camden Fairview Cardinals on Friday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 71-63 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Magnolia's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-9. As for Camden Fairview, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Magnolia and Camden Fairview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. Magnolia (ranked 79th) will meet De Queen (ranked seventh) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Camden Fairview will take on Nashville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 43 places (62 vs. 19).
