Volleyball Recap: Mukwonago Takes Down Janesville Parker in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Mukwonago rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Janesville Parker Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Indians not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 2nd (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mukwonago was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-13, 25-13.

Mukwonago's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Vermuelen, who had 15 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Vermuelen has posted over her last six matches. Amanda Esmeier was another key player, getting 13 assists and seven digs.

Mukwonago has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-20 record this season. As for Janesville Parker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-22 record this season.

Mukwonago wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Westosha Central on the 25th. Janesville Parker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
