Softball Recap: Jo Byrns Comes Up Short

Jo Byrns lost to Montgomery Central back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Devils fell 9-5 to the Indians.

Makynli Arnold made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailee Lemmons, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Jo Byrns' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Montgomery Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Jo Byrns will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Cheatham County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montgomery Central, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Waverly Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
