Basketball Recap: Tanner Tompkins Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Manson

Tonasket won against Liberty Bell last Tuesday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Tonasket Tigers strolled past the Manson Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 69-52. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tonasket to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tanner Tompkins, who went 6-for-13 en route to 18 points. The contest was Tompkins' fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Kristian Jones was another key player, dropping a triple-double with 11 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.

Tonasket's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Manson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Tonasket has already played their next matchup, a 64-55 defeat against Lake Roosevelt on the 8th. Manson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
