Baseball Recap: Simpson Academy Comes Up Short

Simpson Academy blew Lamar out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Lamar got their revenge. The Cougars fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-3. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Barrett McKenney was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

Simpson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Lamar, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-5-2.

While Simpson Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
