Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Franklin's 11th in Last 14 Outings

If Eastlake wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Franklin, they should've done a better job of containing Isabella Lee. The Franklin Cougars blew past the Eastlake Falcons 59-36 on Friday thanks in part to Lee, who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, ten boards, and nine steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8 boards per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Allison De La O, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two).

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Eastlake, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Coincidentally, Franklin and Eastlake will both be playing Pebble Hills the next time they take the court. Eastlake will host Pebble Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Franklin will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
