Softball Recap: Breckenridge Takes a Loss

Breckenridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tolar Rattlers. The Buckaroos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rattlers earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Joni Jackson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Reyes, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Breckenridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Tolar, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Breckenridge will challenge rival Dublin at 5:00 p.m. on the 11th. Meanwhile, Tolar is set to face off against their familiar foe Millsap at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
