Basketball Game Preview: Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights vs. Adrian/Ellsworth Dragons

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton is a perfect 4-0 against Adrian/Ellsworth since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights will face off against the Adrian/Ellsworth Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Adrian/Ellsworth likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton humbled Red Rock Central with a 76-47 victory. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Falcons are ranked 399th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Adrian/Ellsworth didn't have too much trouble with Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on Tuesday as they won 65-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Adrian/Ellsworth's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton against Adrian/Ellsworth in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 72-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
