Softball Recap: Pflugerville Connally Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Pflugerville Connally had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Chaparral Bobcats by a score of 7-5. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 20 in a row.

Anya Gordon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandra Swinney, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

The win got Chaparral back to even at 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chaparral beat Pflugerville Connally by a score of 7-6 later that day.
