It's playoff time, and Somerset Academy - Canyons had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 61-44 win over the Bishop Verot Vikings on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Somerset Academy - Canyons to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alana Pinnock, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. Pinnock has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Delanie Doty was another key player, putting up 13 points along with five boards and five steals.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caroline Ward, who posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cameron O'Halloran, who earned 13 points and six boards.

Somerset Academy - Canyons' record now sits at 19-7. As for Bishop Verot, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Somerset Academy - Canyons' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. Bishop Verot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
