Softball Game Preview: Manual Arts Toilers vs. Jefferson Democrats

Manual Arts is 0-9 against Jefferson since March of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Toilers will host the Democrats at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Manual Arts came up short against West Adams on Friday, falling 16-6.

Meanwhile, Jefferson lost 20-7 to Narbonne on Friday.

Brenda Hernandez and Helen Serrano stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hernandez went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Serrano got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Hernandez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Manual Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
