Football Recap: Shiner's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 13 + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shiner had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Iola Bulldogs 34-14. The Comanches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Shiner can attribute much of their success to Clayton Fric, who rushed for 76 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Jones, who rushed for 71 yards and one score.

Tyler Elliott and Austin Calvillo certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Elliott rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown, while Calvillo rushed for 42 yards.

The victory keeps Shiner at an undefeated 13-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.0 points this season. As for Iola, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Shiner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 22-6 victory against Junction on the 5th. Iola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
