Basketball Recap: Irvin Takes a Loss

Irvin suffered their closest defeat since November 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Patterson Institute Lions by a score of 40-37. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2025.

Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Patterson Institute, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Irvin will be playing at home against Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Patterson Institute, they will face off against Immanuel Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
