Fullerton took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Palmer Tigers to the tune of 56-16. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 34-point advantage.
Cael Dubas was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 224 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 32 yards and one TD. Those 32 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Landen Glup was in the mix as well, providing Fullerton with two scores.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fullerton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 344 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmer only rushed for 122 rushing yards.
Looking ahead, Fullerton will challenge Nebraska Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer, they will take on High Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
