Basketball Recap: Ellington Comes Up Short

Ellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the South Iron Panthers 86-54. While losing is never fun, the Whippets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Panthers are ranked tenth).

Ellington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Iron, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellington will take on Bunker in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for South Iron, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the South Iron Panthers challenge the Arcadia Valley Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
