It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Hilltop ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past the Sweetwater Red Devils with an 18-12 win. The victory was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Hilltop's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Sweetwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hilltop is set to face off against their familiar foe Chula Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sweetwater will challenge rival Castle Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Red Devils their first taste of in-conference action this season.
