Riverton has gone 9-1 against Copper Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Riverton will welcome Copper Hills at 3:30 p.m. Riverton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Riverton barely beat Herriman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Riverton was the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Herriman on Tuesday. The Silverwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Kaelyn Flynn looked comfortable as she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Riverton got a massive performance out of Grace Leary, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Tacke, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Riverton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in 11 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Copper Hills' offense. They fell just short of Mountain Ridge by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Grizzlies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Copper Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Riverton, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Riverton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Copper Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Riverton took their victory against Copper Hills when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-5. Will Riverton repeat their success, or does Copper Hills has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
