Baseball Recap: Nooksack Valley Takes a Loss

Nooksack Valley was the 8-5 winner over Blaine when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell just short of the Borderites by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Pioneers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Nooksack Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen Stauffer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Stauffer's first of the season.

Nooksack Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Blaine, they moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coming up, Nooksack Valley will challenge Meridian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blaine, they will square off against Sultan at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
