Volleyball Recap: South Forsyth Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South Forsyth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the North Atlanta Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the War Eagles have suffered since October 3, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-8, 25-17.

Shriya Karthik paced South Forsyth's offense, picking up nine kills. Karthik were helped by Alana Bricely and Avery Russell, who contributed nine assists each. Finally, Ava Erickson kept South Forsyth's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Leading North Atlanta to victory were Eleni Karagiannis and Dorothy Perno. Karagiannis had 15 digs and two assists, while Perno had 11 assists and four digs. That's the most assists Perno has posted over her last 13 matchups.

South Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for North Atlanta, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, South Forsyth will take on Armuchee at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, North Atlanta and North Forsyth will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
