Howard strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Long Reach Lightning 3-0. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lightning, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-13.

Mckenna Brown paced Howard's offense, picking up 17 kills. Brown got some help from Imagine Peltier and her 32 assists. Brown was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Howard's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Long Reach, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, Howard and Long Reach will both be playing Marriotts Ridge the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Lightning will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
