Basketball Recap: Alpha Academy Triumphs

Alpha Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 39-30 win over the Ascend Leadership Aviators on Friday. That's more bragging rights for Alpha Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alpha Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Ascend Leadership, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alpha Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wayne Preparatory Academy at 5:45 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Ascend Leadership and Clover Garden School will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
