After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Mountain View finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 8-2 to the Kelso Hilanders. The Thunder's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mountain View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Kendrick, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Kelso, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

While Mountain View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
