While Gloucester's win against Warwick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dukes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Raiders 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Dukes in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won six in a row.

Brayden Scott looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those hits marked the first that he allowed this season.

On the hitting side, Jesse Jackson was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Hayden Simmons also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Gloucester pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Warwick, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Gloucester will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
