Basketball Recap: Peabody-Burns Comes Up Short at Home Against Marais Des Cygnes Valley

Peabody-Burns unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 53-28 to the Marais des Cygnes Valley Trojans on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 77-69 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jameson Miles, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Ashton Talkington was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Peabody-Burns is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Central Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, they will head out to take on Lyndon on Friday.
