Basketball Recap: Laurel Christian Comes Up Short

Laurel Christian was the 51-32 winner over Sylva Bay Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Laurel Christian Lions fell 36-27 to the Sylva Bay Academy Saints on Friday.

Sylva Bay Academy found their leader in sophomore Livy Shumock, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Lily Hatcher, who posted eight points.

Laurel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Sylva Bay Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.

As of now, neither Laurel Christian nor Sylva Bay Academy have any future games scheduled.
