Basketball Game Preview: Myrtle Point Bobcats vs. Bandon Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Myrtle Point Bobcats take on the Bandon Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses for Myrtle Point and four for Bandon.

Myrtle Point is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Reedsport by a score of 34-31.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-33, which was the final score in Bandon's tilt against Oakland on Friday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bandon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Myrtle Point, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Myrtle Point came up short against Bandon in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 60-54. Can Myrtle Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
