Softball Recap: Badin Triumphs

Badin won the last time they faced Mercy McAuley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rams came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 8-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Tristin Lewis looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Judy Harris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Sophie Brown also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Badin's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mercy McAuley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Badin will welcome Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mercy McAuley, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Seton at 5:00 p.m.
