Soccer Recap: Stockdale's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Stockdale was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Garces Memorial last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stockdale Mustangs fell just short of the Ridgeview Wolf Pack by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. That makes it the first time this season the Mustangs have let down their home crowd.

Stockdale's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-2-5. As for Ridgeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2-1 record this season.

Stockdale and Ridgeview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Stockdale will challenge Centennial at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday up 584 places (120 vs. 704). Stockdale will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Ridgeview (ranked 45th) will meet Bakersfield (ranked 624th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
