Roosevelt has gone 4-0 against Madera recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Roosevelt Rough Riders will be playing at home against the Madera Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, Roosevelt didn't have quite enough to beat Edison and fell 2-1. The Rough Riders have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Roosevelt's goal came courtesy of Eddy Villanueva, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Madera kept a clean sheet against Fowler on Tuesday. They beat the Redcats by a goal, winning 1-0.

Madera used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Fowler. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Robert Rivera (80), Diego Coronado (80), and Jose Hernandez (80). The trio had averaged 45.9, 53.2, and 54.1 minutes respectively before Tuesday's game. Coronado made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Madera, their win bumped their record up to 3-10-3.

Roosevelt beat Madera 3-1 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Will Roosevelt repeat their success, or does Madera have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
