Volleyball Recap: Wapsie Valley Beats Charles City for Their Third Straight Win

Wapsie Valley entered their tilt with Charles City on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Comets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2019.

Espyn Decker paced Wapsie Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Decker got some help from Tessa Brunscheon and her 20 assists. Kiley Schmitz controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wapsie Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Charles City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Wapsie Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Grundy Center on the 13th. As for Charles City, they will square off against Webster City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
