Baseball Recap: South Pemiscot Victorious

South Pemiscot proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 16) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the New Madrid County Central Eagles 9-8. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

The team relied heavily on Jarvis Amerson, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Robert Farmer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

South Pemiscot's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for New Madrid County Central, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, South Pemiscot will face off against Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Madrid County Central, they will challenge Cooter at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
