Volleyball Recap: Glacier Peak Falls Despite Big Games from Ashley Jang and Marcy Mossburg

Glacier Peak managed to slip by Skyline the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Grizzlies lost 3-0 to the Spartans on Saturday.

Glacier Peak was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-16.

Marcy Mossburg and Ashley Jang certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Mossburg had 14 digs and two assists, while Jang had seven digs and three aces.

Leading Skyline to victory were Sanika Vipin and Liz Oberg. Vipin had 17 digs and two aces, while Oberg had nine assists. That's the most aces Vipin has posted over her last nine contests.

Glacier Peak has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-11-2 record this season. As for Skyline, they pushed their record up to 17-8-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Glacier Peak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Lincoln on the 11th. As for Skyline, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Issaquah on the 13th.
