Football Recap: Roosevelt Falls Short Against Ranked Damien

Roosevelt faced Damien in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rough Riders took a 26-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monarchs. The Rough Riders were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Monarchs in the fourth quarter 14-6.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Damien, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will head out on the road to take on Kailua at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Damien, they will head out to face off against Punahou at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
