Baseball Recap: Wakulla Comes Up Short

Wakulla lost against Bozeman back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The War Eagles fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 8-7.

Sam Bruce was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Wakulla's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 6-8 when he doesn't). Owen Klees was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Wakulla dropped their record down to 11-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bozeman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Looking ahead, Wakulla will welcome North Florida Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bozeman, they will head out on the road to square off against Mosley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dolphins will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bucks surely won't give up without a fight.
