Basketball Game Preview: Botkins Trojans vs. Anna Rockets

Botkins and Anna are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Botkins Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Anna Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Botkins turned things around against Fairlawn on Monday. They took down the Jets 47-30.

Meanwhile, Anna entered their tilt with Marion Local on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Flyers by a score of 44-36. The win was all the more spectacular given the Rockets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Flyers are ranked 39th).

Anna pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Botkins, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.
